The importance of Bona fide, Accountability and Governance is essential for an organization to thrive...

OREM Associates and Winners
The importance of Bona fide, accountability and governance is essential for an organization to thrive.

At the OREM Accounting Tax LLC, the OREM Foundation and the new OREM Realty Inc. we have made  this  policy rather  clear. That is why we have the confidence to serve our clients and community   within   multiple States of the USA.

OREM Tax Client
Recently, we had the OREM Appreciation Party to thank our Associates, Clients and Networking Partners that helped us to grow beyond our original national plan.

At the OREM Party we also had a Fundraising for the OREM Foundation and its first multinational effort to rebuild the Philippines devastation from the Yolanda Typhoon, the LeapFrog Project.

When you have credibility, when you follow the requirements and you have bona fide you can do great projects like we did by partnering with the AIA American Institute of Architects, with RIBA the Royal Institute of British Architects and more big names coming on board for the LeapFrog Project.

You can see more of the LeapFrog Project efforts and fundraising in Chicago by visiting the blog I
created last month.

We certainly share a defined goal, and we did take in consideration all opinions about the LeapFrog project at this first Workshop meeting in Chicago.

Other nonprofits with no compliance can lose their 501 © 3 designation from the IRS by not fulfilling their Mission Statements, which is the main reason why the IRS granted them tax exempt status. From our own experience we can say that those 30 application pages were not easy at all. When the nonprofit involves Education it gets even harder to comply and to get approved, it also delays the process. This does not count the time of incorporation prior to apply for tax  exempt status.

“... Leapfrog Project's role and potential for the Philippines is staked out, and a unique role for Filipino architects defined...” - USA Ambassador (ret) John F Maisto, a member of the US White House.

OREM Networking Partners
At OREM Accounting tax we have helped other non profits, corporations, partnerships, LLC’s to reach their success with guidance to the process and identify their weaknesses to fix them.

From our experience, a small portion of clients and non clients can get very emotional and irrational when bad news is delivered. Compliance, compliance and more compliance is the answer. Some are so irrational that want to kill the messenger “literally”, or threaten to sue him.

OREM Associates and Winners
Ask questions, analyze your situation, have an open mind for options, and do not attach emotion to  your choices. Remember that something has  to give for the better of an organization. We can not win all the time so be flexible and negotiating is always your best choice. Be suspicious when somebody wants to impose a one sided idea, sensor the different ideas and when they want  you to just follow the group without even expressing yourself for self interest, privileges, jobs. Etc.

Everybody is entitled to their own opinions, just look around yourself and see who is successful at what they do, who is thriving and who is not. All these decisions  will tell you easily who is doing it the right way and who is not.

Look at our OREM Associates, Clients and Networking Partners at the OREM Appreciation Party, where everybody has its own thoughts. We are an organization where we embrace diversity, but real diversity  is where we enrich our organization with the contributions of all of our individuals and organizations too.

The LeapFrog Project team working in Chicago

Mitchell, Melissa, Billy, Lira,
Enrique and Romeo
Recently in July we visited Chicago to attend the LeapFrog Project workshop and events and we were glad to meet the other members of this project.

This was a very busy business trip for us, we met potential new members for our organization OREM Accounting Tax and we attended meeting for the LeapFrog Project, a project of the OREM Foundation.

The first night we were received by Lira Luis, the Executive Director of the LeapFrog Project with a nice Thai dinner at Thao in downtown Chicago.

Enrique, jimenez, Melissa, Robert and Lira
The second night we attended the networking event at the Apple store in Chicago. What a night, we were able to talk, exchange ideas with the speakers of the night.

The following day we attended the RIBA Royal Institute of British Architects, we met James Fisher the President of RIBA USA who introduced us to Melissa Sterry a Design Scientist, Futurist and Author, during her presentation of BIONIC City, an amazing concept that integrates the function ability, nature and the surrounding environment, this concept goes beyond that and you’ll have to see her presentation to be able to understand the concept.

Melissa and Robert during the boat tour
In between meetings and events we were able to meet and interview potential representatives for OREM Accounting Tax in Chicago and we met a few individuals with great professional backgrounds and network connections in the city.

In the eve we attended the movie presentation courtesy of REBA and we met Kanako Tomisawa Director of Wildlife Renovation Programs.

Amb. Maisto, Lira and James.
On Thursday we had a nice evening boat dinner during a private Chicago Architectural tour narrated and driven by Architect and well known speaker Lira Luis, the boat ride at the Chicago River was amazing because we enjoyed an evening to remember with British celebrity Melissa Sterry, a member   our OREM Marketing & Business Solutions Media specialist and PR Robert Ziemlak, and the OREM Accounting Tax CEO and OREM Foundation Executive Director Enrique Otarola (yes, that is me).

In the eve we had another movie premiere This time at the WIT Hotel, Tis time we met again with all this interesting individuals, this place has such an interesting movie setting that we just reclined our sits while enjoying a glass of good wine and oysters, I have to confess I was so exhausted this eve of having so many meetings and running all over the Chicago for the AIA, REBA, OREM Accounting Tax, OREM Foundation and the LeapFrog Project that I could not help and fell sleep during the movie.

Friday morning was a great day to work for the LeapFrog Project at Hafele Flooring Showroom in downtown Chicago. This time I was glad to be introduced to the President and Publisher of i4design Media LLC, Chairman Board of Trustees of the Harrington College of  Design and also a founding member of the Asia Pacific Federation of Architects Mitchell Obstfeld.

Kanako and Enrique.
We all worked together sharing ideas and experiences at this very diverse group of people, we had professionals from the USA, UK, Asia and South America, with names such as Lira Luis, Melissa Sterry, Romeo Santos, Mitchell Obstfeld, James Fisher and Enrique Otarola.

The LeapFrog Project sales team was in full bloom at the Hafele Showroom figuring out the strategy for the great party night, this time Consultant in Marketing and Sales Trisha Diamond, Sales and Marketing Specialist Eugene Rivera and Robert Ziemlak worked together in the sales and Fundraising strategy for the big AIA Party event at Hafele Showroom.

In the night we arrived early for the setting of the AIA closing Party and LeapFrog Project Fundraising. The red carpet was set inside the showroom due to a  persistent daily rain in Chicago.

Melissa, James and Lira at the workshop
I was glad to see everything went smoothly as planned, our sales tem and fundraising were working really hard selling those raffle tickets and donation were coming along too.

The LeapFrog Project speech was given by Chicago TV Celebrity Billy Dec, you can see him wearing the LeapFrog Project cap in the red carpet group picture,

Then after the closing speeches of the night it was time to announce the winners of the iPads from the LeapFrog Project Fundraising, Melissa announced the winners while I assisted giving the iPads to the winners.

Now we are working hard for our next venue the OREM Appreciation Party that will be held at the Revolver Video Bar in West Hollywood, we want to thank our Tax Accountants and Agents by giving away awards to our best sales people and for working hard this past years, and also thank our clients too for trusting our company with their accounting and filing tax needs.

We will be introducing OREM Real Estate and our new Real Estate Agents o our friends and clients;
We will be doing a fundraising for the OREM Foundation too.

The Leapfrog Project for rebuilding the Philippines...

This is a good time of the year to start making adjustments to your accounting
systems before the end of the calendar tax year.

For that reason it is good to give to worthy organizations before the end of the year.

This leads me to why I am writing this blog. Recently, I heard from Lira Luis, a good friend and collaborator.  We spoke about the recent Haiyan Typhoon catastrophe in the Philippines.  She asked me to help and join her in her efforts of putting together the Leapfrog project for rebuilding the Philippines.

LeapFrog Project Video

“The devastation prompted the international community to mobilize and join hands in helping the affected communities rebuild and make people rise to regain lost lives.” This project, initiated by ALLL where Lira is Chief Collaboration Architect, is a response to a direct call for assistance from representatives of the Philippine Government.

Philippines Devastation Relief
In the first phase, The Leapfrog project is a multinational effort to fund

a workshop and the architecture realization of the program to bring together  built environment experts from the US, the UK and the Philippines to collaborate with the Philippine locals to reach a solution with the forward thinking solutions to the devastated areas while boosting the local
economy.

We all know Lira Luis from our collaborative efforts to spread good business and good accounting practices video series.

Lira Luis Video Interview.

Lira Luis had formed a team of experts for this Leapfrog Project.

I was approached for my experience as an IRS Enrolled Agent and for working with multiple nonprofit organizations in the US and also my experience with businesses all over the United States of
America.

I am proud to join forces with Lira Luis and bring OREM TaxAccounting LLC and OREM foundation Inc. experience to the table and collaborate with such a good project.

I’m proud to share with you that we have started securing sponsorships from corporations in the first phase.

We will be launching a crowd funding campaign soon where you can feel free to join efforts with us and donate.

In the second phase, the conclusions from this Leapfrog Project Workshop will be shared to the public and translated to an architecture installation in devastated areas of the Philippines.

This phase is critical to help in the rebuilding efforts while ensuring the local economy improves as a direct result from this effort.

Regarding the final phase, The Leapfrog project will construct a specific building type as a direct result of this developed collaborative effort. The main goal is to help rebuild the devastated areas while engaging the locals with rebuilding and at the same time allow the project to empower local economic activities.

For this final phase our goal is to raise an amount that would allow us to fund the construction of a structure that will be determined based on the on-ground needs of the locality that will help improve the life of the locals in the devastated areas.

Please donate any amount will make a huge difference
